Decision Weather: April 24th:
The forecast for the next five days is calling for increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms as low pressure systems move across the area from the southwest. A combination of high fire danger, blowing dust and severe weather are anticipated for various parts of the Tri-State area Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. Breezy to windy conditions are likely Thursday through Sunday. Severe weather remains possible Thursday with tornadoes and large hail as the main threats. The tornado risk has increased.

Colby Citywide Spring Cleanup

For residential customers, call city hall to schedule your spring clean pickup that week.

Art Walk on Friday, April 26th
This year's Spring Art Walk is hosted by the Colby Community College art department. It will be set up throughout the college campus from 5 to 8 p.m.. The show features original works by professional artists and students from CCC, Colby Public Schools, Golden Plains, Goodland, and Norton high schools. Many pieces are available for purchase. Art and activities will be in Ferguson Hall, the H.F. Davis Library, the Robert Burnett Student Union, the Cultural Arts Center gallery, and the Bedker Memorial Complex. Live music will be in most of the buildings.  Additional highlights include food vendors, caricature drawings, face paintings and balloon animals. A raku firing will be performed outside the ceramics lab, and Fort Hays University professor Toby Flores will do a blacksmith demonstration in the center of the campus. There is no charge to attend. Decatur Health will be collecting assorted baby needs for the month of April to donate to Miriam's Hope! What we need: Diapers, diaper cream, formula, baby powder, baby wipes, baby bath products, etc. Drop off donations at Decatur Health during the entire month of April!

Students' Art Show
Rawlins County Jr.-Sr. art students' local art show is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 30th at Shirley Opera House.

CCC Events and Notices

"The Wizard of Oz" 
The Colby Community College music and drama department will perform the musical "The Wizard of Oz" at 7 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Northwest Cultural Arts Center Frahm Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. The show is expected to last two and half hours with an intermission. WPAA Upcoming Shows

Bobby Darin Allynn in Colby

Bobby Darin Allynn rocks his Branson and travelling shows with

passion, stories, and the music of Elvis Presley. Known as the

‘World’s Youngest Elvis Tribute Artist’ Bobby started performing as

Elvis back when he was only two years old.

The young artist will perform for Western Plains Arts Association,

Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. CDT, at the Colby Community College

Cultural Arts Center. Admission by WPAA season ticket or $20 adults,

$10 students at the door.
